2015 Prize Draw Winners

In an effort to thank our many contributors for assisting us with port information, each port update received from port authorities, agents and operators is entered into a free prize draw to win a copy of The Shipping World's Map.

We are pleased to announce the winners for 2015 below.


January

February

June 

Congratulations to Giles V. Pereira, Mooring Operations Team Leader, for winning the June 2015 prize draw. Giles updated the port information for Malongo Terminal and Futilla Terminal in Angola, which see updates to the following information categories: overview, charts, documents, ISPS, approaches, anchorages, berths, tanker facilities and fuel.
 
July

Congratulations to Captain Primoz Bajec, Head of VTS and MRCC for the Port of Koper, Slovenia, for winning the July 2015 prize draw. Koper sees updates to the following information categories: documents, max size, approaches ISPS, approaches, pratique, pre-arrival information, VHF, VTS/radar, berths, tanker facilities, dry dock, consuls and developments.
 
August

Congratulations to Camille Barnaud, Service Capitainerie for the Port of Nantes, France for winning the August 2015 prize draw. Nantes sees updates to the following information categories: max size, restrictions, berths, facilities (bulk, container, LNG) and holidays. Photos have also been added.


September

December 

Congratulations to Arne Rydahl, Port Assistant for Kalundborg, Denmark, for winning the December 2015 prize draw. Kalundborg sees updates to the following information categories: overview, pilotage, berths, container facilities, cranes, medical and seaman's clubs. A photo and plan have also been added.



The Shipping World's MapShipping Guides would like to thank all the contributors who have updated the port information in 2015.  Your kind assistance provides the maritime industry with a comprehensive port data-set for the effective and safe planning of a port visit.  In 2015 alone, 3411 ports were updated, an average of 284 ports per month. In addition, 208 port plans have been created and 72 new ports were added.

Each port update received is entered into a free prize draw, for which the prize is an A1 sized copy of The Shipping World's Map.  This map details over 1,500 global port locations with an indication of the cargoes they handle and also includes the latest MARPOL regulations and International Load Line Zones and Areas.
