OVERVIEW:  The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is the federal agency responsible for the stewardship of the lands and waters that make up the Port of Vancouver, Canada’s largest port It is a safe, year-round, all-weather port.
Vancouver is the third largest port in North America in terms of total tonnage moved in and out of the port. The port comprises 29 major terminals, including deep-sea terminals providing Super post-Panamax capacity and extensive on-dock rail facilities with virtually no draft restrictions, three Class 1 railroads and a full range of facilities and services to the international shipping community.
The port is able to handle the most diversified range of cargo in North America: bulk, containers, breakbulk, liquid bulk, automobiles and cruise.
LOCATION:  On the southwest coast of British Columbia just north of the border with the USA The port is spread along the western limits of two rivers passing either side
