OVERVIEW:
Sheltered by a man-made breakwater, the port handles containers and breakbulk cargo
There are also facilities for cruise vessels.
LOCATION:
In Valparaiso Bay, in the central zone of Chile, 110 km. WNW of Santiago. It is the
nearest port to the Los Libertadores Pass, the main road through the Andes mountains
to Argentina.
