OVERVIEW:  A small, naturally sheltered port handling fish, containers and reefer cargo. A naval base, including drydocking and repair facilities is located to the north of the commercial port.
In 2010, Talcahuano was devastated by an earthquake and subsequent tsunami. At the time, the local government estimated that it would take 10 years for the town to fully recover. Contact Agent for the latest information regarding port functionality.
LOCATION:  On the western shore of Concepcion Bay in the Bio Bio Region, 15 km. NW of Concepcion and 430 km. SW of Santiago.
