OVERVIEW:
A naturally sheltered port serving as the mainland terminus for Marine Atlantic ferry
operations. There are also facilities handling fresh and frozen seafood. The ports
of North Sydney and Sydney are administered by the Port of Sydney Development Corporation.
LOCATION:
On the northern shore of Sydney Harbour on the east coast of Cape Breton Island, 10
km. NNW of Sydney and 315 km. NE of Halifax.
