OVERVIEW:
Lumut Maritime Terminal (LMT) is a common-user commercial river port terminal, handles
bulk carriers, tankers, general cargo and Ro-Ro vessels. A privately-operated flour
mill sits opposite LMT, and handles bulk wheat, corn.
LOCATION:
On the west coast of Malaysia, off the Straits of Malacca, between Penang port and
Port Klang, near Pulau Pangkor.
Lumut Maritime Terminal is located at Kampung Acheh, along the banks of the Dinding
River (04° 15.39′ N, 100° 39.64′ E), 90 n.m. north of Kuala Lumpur and 10.5 n.m. from pilot boarding station.
