OVERVIEW:  An important ferry port with services to Scandinavian ports such as Oslo and Gothenburg as well as the Danish islands of Laesoe and Hirsholm. Port also handles dry and liquid bulk, Ro-Ro, offshore and breakbulk cargo. There is a naval base on the SW side of the port.
The port of Frederikshavn is a Comprehensive port in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
LOCATION:  On the NE coast of the Jutland Peninsula, approx. 60 km. NE of Aalborg.
