OVERVIEW:
Campbell River is a Customs port of entry. There is not an overall Port Authority
although there are a number of privately owned marine terminal facilities. The port
area
handles bulk cargoes such as coal and timber products and breakbulk cargo including
machinery, wire rope, road building supplies, household goods and foodstuffs. Berthing
facilities available for fishing vessels and pleasure craft.
LOCATION:
West coast of British Columbia. At the southern entrance to Discovery Passage at the
head of the Strait of Georgia, on the east coast of Vancouver Island.
