OVERVIEW:
The capital port of Somaliland, Berbera handles containers, building materials, bulk
grain, bulk liquids, livestock, scrap metal, Ro-Ro and breakbulk cargo
The port also includes the Berbera Economic Zone located 15 km. from the port.
LOCATION:
On the Gulf of Aden in Somaliland. 130 n.m. SE of Djibouti and 145 n.m. south of Aden.
PORT LIMITS:
Defined by a line connecting the following positions:
- 10° 26.64′ N, 044° 58.88′ E
- 10° 25.23′ N, 044° 58.49′ E.
