OVERVIEW:  The port of Aalborg comprises private and public facilities on both sides of Limfjord, with berths in Aalborg city, Aalborg Osthavn (east harbour), and Norresundby. The port provides extensive facilities for handling oil, containers, general and bulk cargoes. Cruise vessels are also handled. A power station (Nordjyllandsvaerket havn) is located opposite Aalborg Osthavn.
The port of Aalborg is a Comprehensive port in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
LOCATION:  In the Limfjord, approx. 15 n.m. inland from Hals Barre on the east side of Jutland. Norresundby is located on the opposite side of the Limfjord to Aalborg city, and Aalborg Osthavn is approximately 8 km. east of Aalborg city centre.
