OVERVIEW:
A modern port which, when complete, will serve as the primary deep water port for
Shanghai. The port currently handles containers, petroleum products, chemicals and
LNG.
LOCATION:
The port is constructed on a combination of existing islands and reclaimed land and
accessed via a 30 km. long causeway. Yangshan is located in the north part of Hangzhou
Bay approx. 90 km. SE of Shanghai.
DOCUMENTS:
Agents are required to submit a complete set of Cargo Manifests to Shanghai Customs.
Documents should also include details of cargo in transit, if any. Agents request
that vessels carefully check all documentation as any discrepancy will result in fine
to the vessel of up to RMB30,000.00.
