OVERVIEW:  A modern port which, when complete, will serve as the primary deep water port for Shanghai. The port currently handles containers, petroleum products, chemicals and LNG.
LOCATION:  The port is constructed on a combination of existing islands and reclaimed land and accessed via a 30 km. long causeway. Yangshan is located in the north part of Hangzhou Bay approx. 90 km. SE of Shanghai.
