OVERVIEW:  Ship-to-ship transshipment anchorage for oil cargoes.
LOCATION:  On the north side of the entrance to Van Phong Bay (Vinh Van Phong), on the east coast of Vietnam.

MAX. SIZE:  Anchorage:  Depth 26.5 m., 350,000 d.w.t.
RESTRICTIONS:  Normally vessels will only be berthed alongside during daylight hours, unberthing operations at any time.
PILOTAGE:  Compulsory for all vessels using the bay. The pilot station is at a position just outside the entrance to the bay at 12° 30.00′ N, 109° 23.00′ E.
Vessels should call Van Phong Pilots, on VHF Channel 16, when 2 hours from the pilot station.
ANCHORAGES:  As per pilot's advice.
Two anchorages, A and C, have been nominated within the bay for the ship-to-ship operations These anchorages are as follows:
