OVERVIEW:
A naturally sheltered port handling most types of cargo including breakbulk, Ro-Ro
dry and liquid bulk, containers and passengers. In addition, there is a large ship
repair facility within the harbour.
The port of Valletta is a
Core port in the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridor in the European Union's Trans-European
Transport Network.
