ESTAR

OVERVIEW:  A large multipurpose port handling most types of cargo. Tarragona specialises in handling chemicals and is one of the largest producers of ethylene in Europe. Other cargoes handled include containers, dry bulk, breakbulk, reefer, passengers, crude oil and petroleum products. There are also berths and support facilities for fishing boats and leisure craft
The port of Tarragona is a Core port in the Mediterranean Corridor in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
LOCATION:  On the Mediterranean coast, 85 km. WSW of Barcelona and 230 km. NE of Valencia.
PORT LIMITS:  Bounded by lines connecting the following positions:
  1. 41° 03.35′ N, 001° 09.60′ E Cap de Salou
  2. 41° 00.00′ N, 001° 09.60′ E
  3. 41° 00.00′ N, 001° 20.55′ E
  4. 41° 07.50′ N, 001° 20.55′ E Punta Mora.
All vessels anchoring within port limits will incur harbour dues.
