OVERVIEW:
Multipurpose port comprising an inner harbour with the Tecon Suape Container Terminal
and a public commercial quay, and an outer harbour area with a liquid bulk terminal
(Terminal de Graneis Liquidos (TGL)) and a multipurpose pier (Cais de Multiplos Usos
(CMU)). Port is protected by a 2,950 m. breakwater. Throughput in excess of 5,000,000 tonnes/year
LOCATION:
On the southern coast of Pernambuco State, near the mouth of the Rio Ipojuca and Tatuoca
Masangana between Cabo de Santo Agostinho and Pontal do Cupe, 21.5 n.m. south of Recife.
