OVERVIEW:
The port consists of a number of basins and berths on the Nieuwe Maas. The area handles
a wide range of cargoes and offers numerous facilities including ship repairs and
heavy-lift operations. The nautical management of the port area, management of commercial
shipping and collection of port dues is carried out by the Port of Rotterdam on behalf
of the Municipality of Schiedam.

On the north bank of the Nieuwe Maas, 15 n.m. from sea and 4.5 n.m. below Rotterdam's
bridges.
