OVERVIEW:  Also known as El Suweis, Port Suez is a multipurpose port. The main port, located within the harbour breakwaters can be divided into the Petroleum Basin on the west side and Port Tewfik and Port Ibrahim on the east. Outside the main harbour area, there is the satellite port of Adabiya (SW side of Suez Bay) and Suez Offshore Terminal. Handles dry and liquid bulk, passengers, Ro-Ro and breakbulk cargoes.
LOCATION:  At the southern entrance to the Suez Canal, on the shores of Suez Bay, 130 km. east of Cairo.
