OVERVIEW:  Port Kembla consists of inner and outer harbour areas, protected by breakwaters. Main products handled by the port include coal, iron ore, grain, steel, automobiles, bulk and liquid bulk cargoes.
The Kembla Port Corporation is now trading as Port Authority of New South Wales, following the amalgamation of Sydney, Newcastle and Port Kembla port corporations. The State owned land-side assets at Port Kembla are leased to NSW Ports consortium under a 99-year lease.
LOCATION:  39 n.m. south of Sydney in NSW on the east coast of Australia.
