OVERVIEW:
The primary port of Greece, Piraeus handles mostly containers, passengers, bulk liquids
and Ro-Ro cargo. The port comprises a mix of Port Authority and privately-owned facilities.
Ship repair yards are available in the main port area and also at nearby Skaramangas
and Salamis.
LOCATION:
On the northern shore of The Saronic Gulf, approx. 10 km. to the west and SW of Athens.
