OVERVIEW:
The port is one of the major growth ports on the NE corner of the Bohai rim. Primarily
built on reclaimed land, is undergoing extensive development to the west of Ying Kou
and NW of Bayuquan. When fully developed, the port will be one of the biggest on the
Bohai rim. Currently the port handles dry bulk cargo, crude oil, containers, fertiliser,
grain, petroleum products and project cargoes. The port serves eastern Mongolia and
Liaoning province.
The port falls under the jurisdiction of Ying Kou port authority.
The port may be closed due to ice conditions during the winter months.
LOCATION:
20.5 n.m. NNW of Bayuquan and 40.5 n.m. ESE of Jinzhou.
