OVERVIEW:  Melbourne is Australia's largest container and breakbulk port, handling around 36% of Australia's container trade. The port handles more than 3,500 commercial ship calls each year, giving access to all major trading regions. LOCATION:  At the northern end of Port Phillip Bay, in the state of Victoria in the SE of Australia.
