OVERVIEW:  Capital of Gabon. Berthing only for small craft such as fast ferries and fishing boats (the main commercial area is Owendo, 8.0 n.m. upriver from Libreville). The waterfront area of Libreville is undergoing redevelopment for recreational and residential use.
LOCATION:  On the north bank of the Estuaire de Gabon at the mouth of the Komo River.

ISPS COMPLIANCE:  Port is compliant.
MAX. SIZE:  Breakbulk:  Depth 2.5 m.
Passengers:  Depth 2.5 m.
RESTRICTIONS:  No restriction imposed on entering or leaving the estuary.
PILOTAGE:  Available and compulsory for vessels exceeding 150 n.t.
Notification:  Vessels should forward ETA and pilot order, via agent, 24–48 hours in advance.

ANCHORAGES:  The seabed of the roads slopes gently, with typical estuarial conditions. The greater the vessel's draft, the further
