ESLPA
OVERVIEW:
The port offers facilities for most types of vessel. It is divided into Inner and
Outer Harbours and has berth facilities with a total length of 18.7 km. The principal
imports include textiles, foodstuffs, consumer goods, fertiliser, grain and edible
oils. The principal exports are agricultural produce, fish, preserves and cement
Las Palmas also specialises in bunkering services.
The port of Las Palmas is a
Core port in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
LOCATION:
An artificial harbour at the head of Istmo de Guanarteme, 2 n.m. south of the NE extremity
of the island of Gran Canaria.
