OVERVIEW:  Terminal consists of the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah MV 21 BV, 300,000 d.w. tonnes, LOA 358.6 m LBP 317.5 m., breadth (moulded) 59.0 m., depth (moulded) 29.7 m. and draft 19.7 m. Turret moored to nine suction pile anchors. Designed to produce 120,000 bbls. of crude oil per day, storage capacity 1,600,000 bbls.
FPSO designed to weathervane freely 360° around the turret's vertical axis, thus aligning itself with the prevailing wind and current conditions.
Terminal is located in depth approx. 1,100 m. and field spans an area about 6×8 n.m.
FPSO exhibits an all-round white light with a 15 n.m. range each end, and red lights with a 2 n.m. range on the port and starboard sides of the accommodation. All lights operate simultaneously flashing Mo(U).10s. An omni-directional fog horn range 2.0 n.m. sounds Mo(U).30s in restricted visibility.
