OVERVIEW:
Multipurpose port with three basins. Basin No. 1 handles general and liquid cargoes
Basin No. 2 handles bulk ore, containers and general cargo, and Basin No. 3 handles
dry and liquid bulk.
Port undergoing extensive expansion program, primarily in dry and liquid bulk cargoes.
One of china’s biggest coal and bulk ore handling ports. CNPC petrochemical refinery
produces in excess of 1,000,000 tonnes of refined product per year. Port is owned
by the Dalian Port Authority.
LOCATION:
In Jinzhou Bay, in the NW part of the Bohai Sea, in NE China.
