OVERVIEW:
Privately-operated facilities comprising Thamesport, Grain LNG and BP Oil aviation
fuel terminal. The Statutory Harbour Authority for the River Medway and The Swale
is Port of Sheerness Ltd, part of Peel Ports Operations Ltd.
LOCATION:
On the east end of the Hoo Peninsula in Kent, England separating the estuaries of
the rivers Thames and Medway. Marine facilities are situated on the south side of
the Isle of Grain, on the River Medway, approx. 1.5 n.m. west of Sheerness and 55 km.
due east of central London.
