OVERVIEW:  The Girassol complex comprises two loading points, the FPSO Girassol and an SPM CALM loading buoy located 1 n.m. bearing 020°(T) from the FPSO
Crude oil and methanol are handled at the FPSO and crude oil at the SPM.
FPSO Girassol has a flare at the bow, height 95 m., 343,000 d.w.t., LOA 300 m., moulded breadth 59.6 m., moulded depth 30.5 m. and draft 23.24 m
FPSO is equipped with 4 lights Fl.Y.10M and fog horn Mo(U).30s.2M.
The FPSO is spread moored, anchored fast by 16 anchor lines, each composed of a suction anchor, chain, cable and chain.
This loading point is designed for mooring the vessel's bow to the FPSO bow in tandem.
As the FPSO is spread moored, the vessel weathervaning rotation is limited to ±60° from FPSO axis, around the tandem mooring point.
