One of the ports areas that make up the Port of Mikawa. Handles dry and liquid bulk,
timber and automobiles; it is Japan's leading port for timber cargoes in terms of
volume.
The port is equipped with earthquake-resistant quays and public sheds.

Central south coast of Honshu, in Mikawa Wan, approx. 45 km. SE of Nagoya.
