OVERVIEW:
A sheltered port handling most types of cargo, including containers, breakbulk, Ro-Ro,
dry bulk, bulk liquids and liquefied gas. Supporting facilities include a canal linking
the port basin to the River Nile, a Free-Trade Zone and an industrial zone.
LOCATION:
On the Mediterranean coast, 60 km. WNW of Port Said and 175 km. ENE of Alexandria.
