OVERVIEW:
Coryton Refinery ceased production in June 2012. The site is being developed into
a bulk liquids distribution terminal and called Thames Oil Port.
This entry should be read in conjunction with supplementary and pilotage information
provided in our London entry.
LOCATION:
Left bank of the River Thames, SE England, approx. 22 n.m. upstream of the seaward
limit of Port of London.

All vessels of 11,000 g.t. and over, bound for jetties in the Coryton area are required
to employ the services of a Berthing Pilot (drawn from senior PLA Pilots). The Berthing
Pilot will normally board the vessel from one of the berthing tugs.
