OVERVIEW:  The port comprises two main areas; Inner Port and Outer Port, also known as Puerto Exterior. Inner Port handles most types of cargo including breakbulk, dry and liquid bulk, containers, liquefied gas, passengers, fish and leisure craft. Outer Port is under development but when fully operational will handle breakbulk, dry bulk and liquid bulk cargoes
The port of Coruna is a Core port in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
LOCATION:  In the NW of the country on the Bay of Biscay coast, 85 km. NE of Cape Finisterre and 225 km. west of Gijon.
