OVERVIEW:
Sheltered port protected by a breakwater to the SW and within a natural bay. Port
handles in excess of 2,000,000 tonnes/year
Port consists of two areas: Shahid Beheshti on the west side of the port, handles
dry and liquid bulk, containers and breakbulk cargoes, and Shahid Kalantari on the
east side of the port, handles dry bulk, containers, breakbulk and passengers. Port
is operated by Aria Banader Iranian.
LOCATION:
In the south of Sistan and Baluchestan Province in SE Iran. Port is within Chabahar
Bay on the Sea of Oman.
