OVERVIEW:
Multipurpose port divided into three main commercial areas: Darsena Sur (South Basin),
Darsena Norte (North Basin) and Darsena Interior (Inner Basin). Additionally, there
is a dedicated fishing port and adjacent BP refinery and associated CBM. Principal
imports are crude oil, bulk minerals, cereals, fertilisers and chemicals. Principal
exports are refined oil products, fertilisers, chemicals, tiles and citrus fruit.
A small shipyard is located in Burriana; approx. 7 n.m. SW of the port.
