OVERVIEW:  The Boca Grande is a 200,000 d.w.t. VLCC, converted to a self-unloader with a storage capacity of 180,000 tonnes, LOA 314.0 m., breadth 50.0 m., boom length 36.0 m. and draft 20.41 m., which is anchored in depth 40.0 m
LOCATION:  Boca Grande Transfer Station is located in Venezuelan territorial waters in the Serpent's Mouth, between Trinidad and the delta of the Orinoco river.
Navigation Aids:  There is a racon beacon on the Boca Grande with a white flash of one second duration every 10 seconds, visibility 20 n.m.
