Bulk iron ore cargoes are transshipped to the Boca Grande II for onward loading by transshipment bulk carriers Angel Falls 71,671 d.w.t., 37,709 g.r.t., LOA 223.7 m., beam 32.2 m. and Rio Caroni 88,151 d.w.t., 50,348 g.r.t., LOA 241.0 m., beam 38.0 m. Handles up to 6,000,000 of iron ore per year.
LOCATION:  Boca Grande Transfer Station is located in Venezuelan territorial waters in the Serpent's Mouth, between Trinidad and the delta of the Orinoco river.
PORT LIMITS:  Radius 1,500 m. centred on the Boca Grande II in position 09° 56.72′ N, 061° 34.97′ W.
