OVERVIEW:  Port of Aparri caters mostly to small passenger vessels but also handles breakbulk and timber. Tug barge combinations are used for transporting sand from dredging operations in the Cagayan River. Vessels anchor in the outer anchorage to load transshipped sand cargoes.
LOCATION:  It is a port of entry situated near the mouth of Cagayan River in position 18° 21.55′ N, 121° 37.81′ E on the north coast of Luzon.
