OVERVIEW:  The port consists of two piers. The principal cargo handled is bananas for export and domestic passenger Ro-Ro services. The port is administered by the national Port Authority (Autoridad Maritima de Panama) but operated by Boca Fruit Company LLC (Chiquita).
LOCATION:  In Almirante Bay, on the NW end of the Atlantic coast of Panama.
