3 Australian ports updated: Melbourne, Fremantle and Geraldton

Melbourne

Melbourne is a multipurpose port and Australia's largest container and general cargo port, handling around 36% of Australia's container trade. The port handles more than 3,500 commercial ship calls each year, giving access to all major trading regions. Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) is the Port Authority.

Fremantle

On SW coast of Australia, 20 km. SW of Perth, Fremantle's inner harbour is approached via a channel between two moles and comprises two quays; the North Quay and Victoria Quay. Located on the west coast of Australia, Geraldton is a multipurpose port handling imports of fertilisers, petroleum products and general cargo; and exports of grains, minerals, livestock, bunkers and general cargo.
