Cairns, Australia updated incl. restrictions and facilities

Situated within the environmentally sensitive area of the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns is a small, multipurpose regional port which caters for a diverse range of industries including agriculture, mining and tourism. It has a cruise terminal, five commercial wharves handling general cargo, dry bulk and liquid bulk cargoes and a marina. A dedicated sugar terminal also has facilities for bulk molasses. Cairns is an all-weather port outside the cyclone season which runs from approx. November to April.
