OVERVIEW:  Vladivostok is the major port of the Russian Far East. The port specialises in containerised, bulk, breakbulk and fish cargoes. A large shipbuilding and engineering complex is located at Bolshoy Kamen. Open to navigation throughout the year but broken ice may be encountered from December to March.
LOCATION:  In Golden Horn (Zolotoy Rog) Bay, in the Russian Far East, 75 n.m. from the border with North Korea. Bolshoy Kamen is approx. 25 n.m. east of Vladivostok.
