OVERVIEW:  The largest and busiest port of the Faroe Islands with several satellite harbours (Kollafjordur and Sund). A major base for North Atlantic fishing vessels, with facilities to handle containers, Ro-Ro, cruise ships and ferries.
LOCATION:  On the SE of Streymoy Island. Sund lies approx. 6 km. NW of Torshavn and Kollafjordur (and the village of Oyrareingir) is approx. 14 km. NW of Torshavn.
