OVERVIEW:
A major port specialising in the handling of dry and liquid bulk, containers and vehicles.
Other cargoes include liquefied gas, passengers, metals, foodstuffs, forest products
and breakbulk. The port is naturally protected with additional shelter provided by
reclaimed land and breakwaters.
LOCATION:
On the south coast of Honshu, at the head of Ise Wan, 140 km. ENE of Osaka and 270 km.
WSW of Tokyo.
