OVERVIEW:
One of Taiwan's two major ports, the other being Kaohsiung. Hub port handling all
types of cargo, serving the capital Taipei. Port comprises over 9,000 m. of berths,
in east and west areas (and designated accordingly), with at least 8,000 m. operational.
Port covers a total area of approx. 572 ha. and has an outer and an inner harbour.
LOCATION:
Northern end of Taiwan, at the confluence of the East China Sea and Taiwan Strait.
