OVERVIEW:  One of Taiwan's two major ports, the other being Kaohsiung. Hub port handling all types of cargo, serving the capital Taipei. Port comprises over 9,000 m. of berths, in east and west areas (and designated accordingly), with at least 8,000 m. operational. There are two cruise terminals one in the east and other west quays. Port covers a total area of approx. 608 ha. and has an outer and an inner harbour.
LOCATION:  Northern end of Taiwan, at the confluence of the East China Sea and Taiwan Strait.
PORT LIMITS:  The waters and ratified land area bounded by a line connecting the west and east breakwaters (approx. 25° 09.51′ N, 121° 45.15′ E and 25° 09.84′ N, 121° 45.23′ E respectively) and north and south breakwaters of Ba-Tz-Men area (approx. 25° 09.40′ N, 121° 46.41′ E and
