OVERVIEW:
Ireland's only privately-owned commercial port. The main commodities handled include
bulk animal feed, fertiliser, coal, steel, timber and general cargo.
LOCATION:
On the south side of Carlingford Lough that forms part of the border between Northern
Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Approximately 5.7 n.m. SE of Warrenpoint (UK)
and 17 km. east of Dundalk (Republic of Ireland).

PORT LIMITS:
Greenore lies within Carlingford Lough Harbour Authority limits, the seaward limit
bounded by an imaginery line from Ballangan Point (54° 00.08′ N, 006° 06.25′ W) to Hellyhunter Rock (54° 00.90′ N, 006° 01.90′ W) and then to Cranfield Point (54° 01.38′ N, 006° 03.72′ W).
