OVERVIEW:  The second largest city in Hiroshima Prefecture. The port is dominated by the JFE Steel Corporation steel works. Handles dry bulk and steel products. Public wharf handles general cargo and containers.
LOCATION:  Southern coast of Honshu on the Inland Sea, 90 km. east of Hiroshima.
