OVERVIEW:  A naturally sheltered multipurpose port, Ferrol handles passengers, dry bulk, liquid bulk including LNG, Ro-Ro and breakbulk cargo. In addition to cargo-handling berths, there are also shipyard facilities, a military base and marinas for leisure craft. The port comprises three main areas: Puerto Interior, Mugardos and Puerto Exterior.
The port of Ferrol is a Comprehensive port in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
