OVERVIEW:  A modern port handling dry, liquid bulk cargoes and containers. The Esperance Port Authority, trading as Esperance Ports Sea & Land merged with Bunbury and Albany port authorities in 2014, and together they form the Southern Ports Authority.
LOCATION:  In Western Australia, 325 n.m. ESE of Perth. The nearest regional centres are Albany 260 n.m. (480 km.) by road to the west and Kalgoorlie 215 n.m. (397 km.) to the north.

PORT LIMITS:  The port's outer perimeter is taken as a radius of 10 n.m. from the western breakwater of Bandy Creek fishing harbour.
