OVERVIEW:
The terminal consists of the FSO Virini Prem spread moored in close proximity to a
wellhead conductor structure and jack-up Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) Veer
Prem. The stabilised crude oil is transferred to the FSO via a series of dedicated
free-hanging catenary jumper hoses, and from there is exported to tandem moored offtake
vessels
FSO Virini Prem is a converted tanker, 175,000 d.w. tonnes, moored on a 12 point spread
mooring at 500 m., with vessel heading 225°(T), capacity 1,200,000 bbls. (190,785 cu.m.).
LOCATION:
In Block OML 67, offshore Nigeria, in the Gulf of Guinea, in approximate depth 45.0–50.0 m.
and approx. 25 n.m. from the coast to the south of the western margin of Niger Delta.
