OVERVIEW:  Three berths, close to the town, originally built to handle sugar exports, berths now handle containers, lumber, paper, breakbulk and bulk cargo. A remote berth, located 2.1 n.m. to the south, separated by Puerto Caucedo Container Terminal, handles LNG carriers for the AES Andres Terminal, but is also equipped to handle other liquid bulk.
LOCATION:  On the south coast of the country, 15 n.m. E×S of Santo Domingo.
