Russian port Kholmsk newly amended incl. charts and approaches

Posted: 28th July 2011

Kholmsk is located in Russia on the western coast of Sakhalin Island, in the Tartarsky Strait of the Japan Sea and at the head of Nevelskoy Bay.

The port is open for navigation all the year round, however due to its position, size and weather conditions in the area it cannot be used as a sheltering port. The port is divided into two parts; the Commercial Port and the Sakhalin Western Sea Port (SWSP). Cargo berths are situated in the Kovsh (basin) in the southern part of the Commercial Port. SWSP supports the offshore energy industry.

Changes to the port information for Kholmsk can be found under overview, charts, port limits, max. size, approaches, anchorages, berths, other facilities and cranes.
