Hon Khoi is located 43 n.m. north of Nha Trang City, in the Ninh Hoa District.

This port consists of five areas, Song Han River port (SHRPT) handling bulk liquids, breakbulk, reefer, general cargo and passenger vessels; Da Nang shipyard of the east side of the Kim Lien Bay; Tien Sa Seaport (TSST), handling bulk, break-bulk, containers, Ro-Ro and passenger vessels; Kim Lien Bay having Hai Vin handling bulk cement and Lien Chieu area handling bulk liquids; My Khe Offshore terminal handles petroleum fuels to the east of the city in open waters.
